Euroleague LIVE: Brose Baskets Bamberg – Partizan

Heute Abend ist wieder mal ein Euroleague Endspiel fuer die Bamberger. Es geht darum Partizan zu schlagen – egal wie. Als besondere Ueberraschung werden wir von hoopnation.de dieses Spiel LIVE aus Bamberg bloggen. Das Tolle daran: David Hein (heinnews.com) wird an den Tasten sitzen und das Spiel direkt aus der Halle uebertragen.

Das nenne ich mal eine Spezialisten-Meinung. David Hein schreibt regelmaessig fuer die Euroleague, die FIBA und mancher wird auch schon einen Artikel in der FIVE von David gelesen haben.

Ab 20.00 Uhr gehts los – ich bin gespannt – vorallem auch wie das neue tool ankommt – Es sieht so aus als ob LIVE Blogging in die nachste Phase geht!

Partizan have found some open jumpshots but haven’t been able to knock them down. The lead is only 14 points at the break. If the Serbs hit some of those three-pointers (they were 4-of-13 from downtown in the first break) the game could change quickly. Bamberg need to be careful with their foul shooting – just 13-of-22 at the break. That’s 59% and nine points given away. I think the fans have plenty to look foward to in the second half.

Greene also knocked down a three-pointer and Ohlbrecht came up with an impressive block on Pekovic, who had words for the German youngster. Partizan coach got hit with a technical and Bamberg lead 50-37. Seem to have weathered the first Partizan comeback attempt.

LeBron James macht das – und was machst du?

Vielleicht hat jemand beim surfen auf den amerikanischen Seiten die Werbebanner zu LeBron James neuem Schuh, dem LeBron V schon gesehen. Uns wird gesagt was LeBron James in xy Stunden, Minuten und Sekunden machen wird. (Bei einem Besuch auf SLAMonline.com findet ihr die Werbung sicher, wenn ihr nicht wisst wovon ich spreche).

Auf mich wirkt diese Werbung als ist LeBron James eine Art Maschine, die nur eines im Sinn hat – Basketball, Basketball und nochmals Basketball!

Als ich diesem Sommer neben LeBron James stand und ihm beim Wurftraining zusah, kam es mir so vor als ob einer der durchtrainiertesten Spieler der NBA neben mir steht. Ich weiss, alle trainieren hart im Kraftraum, aber Lebron James sieht so aus als ob sein Haus ein einziger Kraftraum waere. Natuerlich sieht er schon auf Bildern und im TV sehr kraeftig aus – aber dann wenn man neben ihm steht sieht das gleich nochmal anders aus.

Wirft man einen Blick auf die Statistik von Lebron James, koennte man auch meinen, dass man hier mit einer Maschine zutun hat: 31.3 Punkte, 8.3 Rebounds und 8.1 Assists bei einer durchschnittlichen EFF. von 33.0.

Seit den NBA Finals habe ich kein Spiel mehr von Lebron gesehen, darum wollte ich mir das Spiel gegen die Pacers gestern unbedingt ansehen. Es war eigentlich klar, dass es fuer die Pacers schwer werden wuerde, da diese ohne Jermaine O’Neal antreten mussten, der wegen einer Knieverletzung aussetzte.
Was ich aber nicht erwartete ist die Faehigkeit vno Lebron James, den Ball zu passen. Ich will es nun ja wirklich nicht uebertreiben, aber es wirkte schon so, als ob man einen Tick von Magic Johnson sehen konnte.

Was unterscheidet LeBron James also noch von einem Michael Jordan oder Magic Johnson?

Nun mir faellt sofort eines auf: Lebron James arbeitet nicht nur wie eine Maschine, nein er verhaelt sich auch wie eine Maschine auf dem Spielfeld. Es gibt selten Emotionen – ausser vielleicht bei seinem Ritual vor dem Sprungball, ihr wisst schon – Magnesium in die Haende und in die Luft blasen.

Gehoert nicht vorallem die Leidenschaft zum Spiel? Ist es nicht gerade das, was vorallem fuer uns Europaer das gewisse Etwas ausmacht? Haben wir nicht gerade die Emotionen und vorallem die Leidenschaft von Michael Jordan so geliebt?

Aber eines ist auch klar: Lebron James will kein Nachfolger von irgendeinem Spieler werden – er will sich selbst einen Platz in der Liste der besten Spieler der NBA verschaffen. Die Statistiken sprechen fuer LeBron.

Gilber Arenas verletzt: Der Grund

Wie wir nun von Gilbert Arenas selbst erfahren haben (per Gil Zeros NBA Blog), wissen wir dass er wohl fuer ganze drei Monate ausfallen wird. Nachdem Gilbert sich erst in den Playoffs einer Operation unterziehen musste, muss er nun schon wieder unters Messer.

Bei einer Kernspintomographie wurde festgestellt, dass Gilbert’s Meniskus eingerissen ist so wie der Knorpel im linken Knie beschaedigt ist. Eigentlich keine grosse Sache fuer einen Profi-Basketballer – leider erleiden viele Spieler und Spielerinnen diese Verletzung koennen aber je nach Position und Tiefe des Einrisses weiterspielen. Fuer Gilbert kam wohl noch die “microfracture on my non weight-bearing part of the bone” dazu. Das kennen wir ja schon von Greg Oden. Laut Arenas soll seine Verletzung aber nicht so schlimm sein und er wird nach drei Monaten wieder auf dem Feld stehen. Nun das wollen wir doch hoffen oder?

Aber Gilbert Arenas hat es doch sowieso schon lange geschafft – Wer kann schon von sich behaupten, dass eine Gruppe von Maedels ihm hinterher reist, mit Thirts die folgende Aufschrift tragen: “Operation Gilbert Arenas“?

Aber was war nun wirklich der Grund wieso sich Gilbert Arenas diese Verletzung zugezogen hat? Ist es vielleicht beim 1on1 gegen den Hummer passiert?
